about

Music for this song was originally written in 1989 By Joe V. for New Faith but never was recorded or preformed until the release of this E.P. the song was originally titled "Cops Suck" . The original lyrics were ......

We didn't even bother you
We were just passing through
you had nothing better to do
police harassment was unjust
you were just trying to make a bust
innocent kids get your shit
don't you know your a fucking dick
was this bust really worth all this
you really are a fuckin dick

you suck

The actual story behind the idea for the song came from this occurrence.....
New Faith was returning from a show that was scheduled at the Lismar Lounge on Houston st. in the East Village of Manhattan NY in the winter of 1989. The show was cancelled, Members of Killpower, a Rockland county NY death metal band who were also scheduled to play the show that night asked Joe V. and Steve Weiting of New Faith to preform at their rehearsal space in Spring Valley NY where a gathering of band members and friends preformed that night, at the end of the night New Faith packed their gear back into Steve W. silver Nissan pick up truck and proceeded to return home, they realized they were driving in the wrong direction while trying to find their way back to the Tappan Zee Bridge (Via interstate I 287) which crosses over The Hudson River which connects Rockland county to Westchester NY, they pulled into a parking lot along route 17 in Sloatsburg NY and turned around and got back on route 17 heading in the opposite direction. A police officer that was sitting in his car on the side of the road saw the truck that Steve W. and Joe V. were driving in pass him. The officer pulled them over and asked Steve for his drives license. Joe then leaned forward and asked the officer how to get back to the Tappen Zee bridge the officer then yelled what are you saying to me and ran over to the passenger side of the truck and told Joe to get out of the truck and and asked him for his ID and then proceeded to grab Joe by his jacket and hair and slam him face down on to the hood Steve's truck and began to search his pockets., in leather jacket of the coat that Joe was wearing was a pair of brass knuckles the officer then arrested Joe for possession of a weapon. Joe was later court summons and returned to court months later where he was issued a $100 fine.

lyrics

BREW! ( Shonen )
going to the show with the crew
gonna drink lots of brew
grab your friend, have some fun
everyone can sing along to

hardcore, thrash, rock loud fast punk rock

put your finger in the air
fuck the trends we don't care
getting down on the floor
gonna dance to some more

hard core, thrash, rock loud fast punk rock

going to the show with the crew
gonna drink brewwwwww

put your finger in the air
fuck the trends we don't care
